42 Generations
The Bible says that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes on him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus was the perfect ransom and sacrifice for our sins, through him we are saved, declared righteous and freed from sin.
Heaven is Gods spiritual kingdom, governed by his laws, statues and testimonies. This government is founded on righteousness, There are ten basic
laws know as the Ten Commandments. This is an everlasting kingdom and all of
the citizens of this kingdom are righteous citizens and have everlasting life.
There is no sin or lawlessness in the kingdom of heaven. We as humans are by
nature unfit for the kingdom of heaven, neither can we inherit the kingdom of
heaven through our nature. In order for
us as humans to enter into Gods kingdom, we must be born of a new nature, we
have to starve the sinful nature and nourish the spiritual man. This allows our
minds and spirits to become subject to the laws of God, we become spiritual
minded and no longer carnal minded.
The laws of God are good and perfect. To disregard or disobey these laws is sin. Where these laws are kept there is no sickness, sadness, tears or death. When Adam disobeyed God in the garden of Eden by eating of the tree of Knowledge of good and evil, he invited sin, sickness, death and all ungodliness into our nature and life, excluding us as humans from being able to enter into Gods kingdom and having eternal life. So after Adams disobedience man was lost. The earth was so full of wickedness that God decided that he would destroy man, beast and all living flesh who he had made from off the face of the earth, but Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. After the sin flood Noah and his son replenished the earth. Abraham who was the descendant of Shem, who was the son of Noah, lived in a native land called the Ur of the Chal'-dees.
God spoke to Abraham, and told him, to leave his father's house and his country, and to go to a land that he would show him. God also assured Abraham that he would be with him , and bless him and make him a great nation
and that all nations would be blessed through his seed. When Abraham was of old age , God told him to look at the stars and see that they are many, and that his seed would also be countless . At this time Abraham was 99 years old and had no children , but he didn't doubt God, but believed him and was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and was convinced that what God had promised he was also able to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. If we follow the chronological history of the descendants of Abraham, we find that the blessed seed which God promised him, was Jesus Christ. So all the generations from Abraham
to Jesus are 42 generations. The direct descendats of Abraham was Isaac his son, and Jacob his grandson. Jacob had twelve sons, which also made up the twelve tribes of Israel. Moses
who was of the tribe of Levi, was chosen by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and
to give them his law the Ten Commandments. God gave Moses his laws,
statues, testimonies and commandments and instructed him to tell the people that if
they obeyed the voice of God and kept his covenant, that they would be a peculiar
treasure unto him above all people and that they would be a kingdom of priests,
and a holy nation. For all the earth belongs to God. Jesus Who was the Messiah
and the saviour of the world, The Lamb Of God, The King Of Kings, came out of
the tribe of Judah. It was Jesus that reconciled us with God. The Law came by Moses, But grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in the sight of God, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested. Even the righteousness of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ
